Everybody talks about being real. Most of the time that means being tough, edgy, or angry. That is not what we mean. When we say real, we mean honest before God, surrendered to Jesus, and willing to love people the way He loved, even when it costs us.
We are not chasing cool. We are not trying to stand out or keep up with trends. What we want is the truth of Jesus lived out in a city that is desperate for hope. Counterfeit cannot do that.
When you read the New Testament, you see Jesus pouring Himself into broken people. He was not building a brand. He was not looking for applause. He was giving His life away. He still loves broken people. He still runs toward them in the middle of their mess. That is who we want to be at Hope City.
So let’s get real. Following Jesus will not be easy. It will cost you everything. But it is worth it. If you are looking for comfort or religion on your terms, this is not the place. If you are ready for surrender and real transformation, welcome home.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see lives transformed by Jesus in the city of Baltimore. We live in a postmodern world, but our way is ancient. We are not trying to be trendy or cool. We are following the way of the cross, and that will always be counter cultural.
Some will call it naïve, but we believe the gospel still changes people. Jesus still renews hope. Transformation still comes through surrender to Him. This is not easy, but it is simple. And even now, we are seeing it happen, one life at a time.
Our Community
Community is not an add-on to church. It is the church. From the very beginning, followers of Jesus shared life together in a way the world had never seen. They were a diverse people from every background, yet they were united in one thing: their life in Christ and His mission.
That same call is on us. God has drawn us to Himself, and in doing so He has drawn us to one another. We gather not just for fellowship, but to grow deeper in obedience, to serve, to forgive, and to carry one another’s burdens. This is what it means to be the Church.

We are a Christ-focused people committed to living out His mission in Baltimore. The Bible is our guide for life, and we will not bend from it. We believe with everything in us that if the Church in America would get love right, the world around us would be transformed.
